After a few months of doing auditions, setting up my space and software, and getting into the groove of editing, I was pleasantly surprised to receive not one, but two project offers. Honestly it’s a little daunting to juggle two at once so early on but I’m confident in my ability to do well at both. While I don’t want to discuss specifics I did want to talk a bit about them in general terms.
I’m actually quite happy that they are very different types of story. I get to do many different characters in differing styles. And while that presents it’s own challenge, it’s one that lets me feel out my capabilities and practice my skills. Over time this will built my confidence and open up even more opportunities in the future.
So far it’s been a good experience working with the authors/project managers. You never quite know how working relationships will go. I hope to continue fostering these to ensure they remain good. And I’ll certainly be pulling in my skills from the industries I’ve previously worked in to accomplish all I have in mind for this career in narration.
Back to reading and preparing for the week to come!
